Understanding The Difference Between Tourist Visa and Student Visa

Getting a Tourist Visa or a visa for students is not easy, as there are many regulations that to be followed properly for getting a visa for a foreign country, even though, no matter what you do, the application may get rejected for many reasons. Every country wants their people to stay in their own country when limiting the number of immigrants, as much as possible. However, there are few countries which allow foreigners to visit their country for work or study, when they need workers. Apart from that, getting a short term visa for tourists is also allowed with rather manageable rules.

Getting a Student Visa is actually easy if you know exactly what to do to get it. The very first thing you have to make sure is that you have the papers that prove that you are actually getting an addition to a known educational institute in any foreign land. You also have to show that you have enough bank balance for the courses, accommodation and other expenses. There are two different kinds of this visa can be obtained. The first one is a short term visa for 6 months and the other one is a long term visa that permits you to study in a foreign land for the required time spam, and few extra months after the final exam. Some countries allow you to use your Student Visa as a work permit in your campus area. That can help you financially. You also can work off the campus in summer vacation.

The visa for tourists is entirely different. They only allow you to visit a country for a short period of time, that too after you proving that you have no reason to stay there. The rules for Tourist Visa are strict and you need to clear an interview also.
